Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16 1984, at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's best-known and well-known comedians. She has been on QI alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling Claiodhnadh or Aisling "Bea" is a popular Irish actor as well as a writer. Born on March 16th 1984. Bea started appearing as part of the cast in Irish or British TV shows in 2009, began her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. From 2012 on, Bea was appearing on sitcoms or sketch comedy. In 2012, after winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on different panel shows, where she was a frequent guest. From 2016 to 2017 she was a team captain for 8 Out of 10 Cats and a regular contestant for the follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. Sinead is her younger sister. In 2012 she was the second woman ever to be awarded the So You Think You Are Funny award. Her surname honors the memory of her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born March 16, 1984, in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Bea's father Brian who was an equine vet, who took his own life at the age of three when Bea turned three was the victim of self-harm. Bea was informed of his suicide only after the age of thirteen. Bea adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father and wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the family's suicide experience. Bea and her younger sister Sinead were raised by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) an elementary school teacher jockey trainer and an ex-professional jockey. They were both passionate about horses, race meetings and the racing industry. Bea was a trainer for her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her young teens. But she was aware that it wasn't what she wanted to pursue for a living and that she was more interested in performing.
